Speed Freaks, Thugs and Acid Casuals...Manchester lacks not for tourist attractions but Estela isn t interested in sightseeing. Never mind the non-stop jetlag, the miserable weather or her disastrous One Night Stand, this is a business trip. Her prime headache, she s being paid to kill her ex-boss and everyone knows transsexuals have peaceful natures. If there s one thing Estela never understood, it s nostalgia. She s hooked on destiny. But she can t shake the past: old lovers, mad cops and a mountain of amphetimine sulphate. A fast page-turner to rank with the best of them, Acid Casuals puts Manchester in the first division of fiction crime cities.

Recenzijas

?Best debut crime novel of the year... Bleakly comic and highly inventive. Will do nothing for Manchester new image.? Daily Telegraph ?Written with a confidence and a power rare in a first novel... the dialogue is sharp and mega-hip ; and Blincoe manges to make his main cast not only believable but ultimately sad and sympathetic,? The Times ?Sharp, perversely funny debut... A top buzz, aas they used to say.? I-D
