Six of the 32 papers survey various aspects of commutative algebra, such as extensions of unique factorization, root closure in commutative rings, and Kaplansky ideal transform. The others report new results. Among the topics are hermite and weakly semi-Steinitz properties in pullbacks, the characteristic sequence of integer-valued polynomials on a subset, divisor properties inherited by normsets of rings of integers, polynomial functions on finite commutative rings, building Noetherian domains inside an ideal-adic completion II, trace properties and integral domains, a classification of plane cubic curves, and the failure of Krull-Schnidt for direct sums of copies of a module. No date is mentioned for the conference. Some of the reproduced typescripts are double spaced. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
