Prof. Sudipta De received his BE (Mechanical) degree from the Bengal Engineering College (Shibpur) and subsequently M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. He was a guest researcher at the Lund University, Sweden. Currently, he is Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Jadavpur University. He was nominated senior scientist by the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), New Delhi to Technical University of Munich, Germany under international bilateral exchange program of the Academy in the field of clean energy. He was the selected faculty under India4EU program and worked at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm in the field of sustainable energy. He delivered invited lectures in many programs/Institutes including American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Technical University of Berlin and Munich, Germany; Lund University, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden; University of Bologna, Italy; University of Stavanger, Norway etc. He received his research funding from different institutes including University Grant Commission, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India; EU, Swedish Research Council, DFG-Germany; SIU and DIKU-Norway etc. He is also the key resource person of the Energy and Environment Committee and member of the Education Committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the oldest Chamber of India. He has more than 100 international journal/conference publications, book chapters, edited books and journals including a text book on Power Plant Engineering of McGraw Hill Higher Education. He is an elected fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology.  He is in the editorial board of the International Springer Nature journal Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy. He is also an awardee of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Teacher Award, a lifetime award for distinguished contribution to higher education and research in Science and Technology for his contribution to interdisciplinary teaching and research. He was the leader of the Indian Delegation in the 13th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC 238: Solid Biofuels. He has been awarded Shiksharatna by the higher education Department of the Government of West Bengal in 2022. He is also an elected Fellow of the International Society for Energy, Environment and Sustainability.

Prof. Prokash Chandra Roy is currently a Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He obtained his BE (Power Plant) from Jadavpur University in 2000 and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 2004. He received his PhD degree from Jadavpur University in 2010. His major research areas of interests include several aspects of energy and sustainability including energy from biomass, alternative fuels etc. He has published more than70 international journal/conference publications, book chapters, edited books and journals including a text book on Engineering Thermodynamics with Vikas Publishing House. He was the principal investigator of sponsored research project funded by SERB (DST). He has guided several PhD and M.E theses. He has visited USA, UK, Turkey, Malaysia and Bangladesh to present his research work in his field. He is the life member of ISHMT.
