Adrian Wheeler worked as a reporter on a South-East London weekly, then joined a city and financial PR firm as a trainee. He set up Sterling Public Relations, a general practice agency, which after ten years was acquired by Grey Advertising. He then worked for Grey as UK CEO and EMEA chairman for 15 years, setting up a network of GCI offices in 28 countries. Adrian was chairman of the CIPRs Professional Practices Committee for five years and chairman of the PRCA in 1999-2001. In 2010 he received the Sir Stephen Tallents Medal for services to public relations. Adrian now works as a non-executive, consultant and trainer.
