Alternative investments technology services market is still considered young and is far from homogeneous. This diversity drives much of the technology needs and thus there are very few players that can meet the needs of the entire market. New service providers keep coming onto the market (targeting specific specialized segment) thus making the choices even more complex. On top of that, investors are now demanding more rigorous due diligence on both front and back office operations, greater access to senior management, and more detailed and frequent data reports before committing to funds.

In response, alternative investment firms must be agile—ready to reassess and potentially revamp their established business practices, operations, and functions.

Alternative Investments Technology is tailored for investment professionals, managers, and technologists who are navigating the rapidly evolving technological landscape of the alternative investment sector. The book explores how technology is used to enhance management and investment processes. As technology becomes a critical factor in maintaining competitive advantage and operational efficiency, understanding its application and impact is essential for anyone involved in the alternative investment sector.

This book aims to bridge the gap between technology and alternative investment management, providing readers with insights into leveraging technology for better decision-making, enhanced efficiency, and improved investor outcomes. While the technology integration in alternative investments is still evolving, learning more about it and keeping up with these changes is a must. This book is an indispensable guide through the technological maze of alternative investment management, because it explains the needed skills and knowledge to succeed in this dynamic environment.
