This training manual addresses the need for a practical and easily accessible guide for professionals working with people presenting with anger problems. It is intended for use by psychologists, OTs, psychiatric nurses, probation officers, psychiatrists, social workers and teachers. This training manual offers a wealth of photocopiable material, including client handouts and facilitators guides. The appendices contain materials for role-play and relaxation. "Anger Control Training" is a comprehensive programme using a cognitive-behavioural approach and designed for the professional to help people change their thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Recenzijas

"Williams and Barlow offer a very useful manual for the practitioner to understand the many facets of anger and to remedy the personal and interpersonal distress that it can cause. Their book does a splendid job of teaching basic concepts, and provides valuable tools for clinical practitioners who may otherwise struggle in dealing with the obstinate problem of unregulated anger." Professor Raymond Novaco, Foreword

"This practical guide provides a useful and relevant CBT programme for treating anger problems The materials are bound to be functional for all practitioners, the three volumes are handy and easy to use." Christina Neitzert Semler, Department of Psychology, University of Oxford, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy
