This handsome volume, which is illustrated with good quality b&w and some color plates, contains 16 papers (seven in French) that were first presented at the Annual Congress of the British Archaeological Association in July 2000 in the city of Angers, France. The contributors are architectural and art historians in France, the UK, and the US.
