This three-volume set was published by Univelt for the American Astronautical Society (AAS), which hosted the August 2005 conference; the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) was co-sponsor (the two organizations have taken turns hosting the annual gathering since the 1960s). The conference attracted participants from 12 countries outside the US. One hundred and fifty-nine contributions are presented in sections on the following themes: neutral and satellite drag; attitude dynamics and control; mission design; satellite constellations and formation flying; guidance, navigation, and control; orbital dynamics; space debris and collision probability; orbit determination; tethers and large space structures; trajectory design and optimization; atmospheric entry/reentry breakup analysis; low thrust mission and trajectory design; and libration point trajectories. The included CD-ROM contains the contents in a searchable format. Annotation ©2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
