Recenzijas

this book is a must -- Tuam Herald a groundbreaking book that will motivate and inspire the next generation of young Irish people wonderful perfect life-affirming -- Sarah Fitzgerald, Waterstones, Cork in the Sunday Times Ireland I love how it celebrates the achievements of an increasingly diverse, inclusive Ireland -- Ellen Ryan in the Sunday Independent 28 reasons for pride and hope -- The Echo Webbs book could be just the thing to provide encouragement that someone, regardless of age, might need to believe in themselves and realise that there is no dream that is too big. It is not the luck of the Irish, but the perseverance of us that produces such influential and inspiring people. Recommended for all ages -- Irish Examiner We were very happy to get the chance to review Be Inspired Young Irish People Changing the World written by Sarah Webb and illustrated by Graham Corcoran. We liked that we had met Sarah Webb before in our local bookshop, Halfway Up the Stairs in Greystones. We think she is a really super writer! This book is full of the stories of inspiring young people in Ireland. We recognised some of the people (Adam King for example) and it was great to find out more about them, but it was also really fun to learn about other people we had never heard of. This book is very inspiring. It was amazing to read about young people and their big dreams and achievements in sport, activism, fashion, technology, nature, the arts and more! We think this book is suitable for anyone aged 8 and above and that it should be in every school library. Not everyone had a page to themselves, but this was clever as it gave opportunity for more creative and talented people to feature in the book.  We especially liked that Adam Harris features, as it turns out that he is a past pupil of our school! We loved that you can dip in and out of this book and dont need to read it in a particular order.  That means you can read about your favourites again and again.  We enjoyed reading about Adam King, Sinéad Burke and Izzy and Ailbhe Keane in particular. We loved the illustrations too.  We would give this book 10/10. It teaches you to not give up and to do what you love, even if that is tough at times - By sisters Alma (age 11) and Nina (age 9), Co. Wicklow -- Seomra Ranga incredible range well-rounded, good book -- Dublin City FM a truly inspirational book -- Womans Way For readers aged 10+ who prefer to look to the future rather than the past, there is even a book for you! Be Inspired by Sarah Webb and illustrated by Graham Corcoran showcases young Irish people changing the world. Changemakers, trailblazers and many who will surely be heading for the history books of the future, this collection covers activists, artists, athletes and more -- RTEjr Book Club
