Working as a publisher and editor, Max lives in London with his family. Angela Barrett is the highly-regarded illustrator of the 1989 Smarties Book Prize-winning Can It Be True?, by Susan Hill, and the 1991 WH Smith Illustration Award-winning The Hidden House, by Martin Waddell. She lives in London.
