Blahnķk by Boman is a brilliant photographic collaboration between shoe designer extraordinaire Manolo Blahnķk and his close friend, photographer Eric Boman. In over 160 photographs, Blahnķks exquisite, luxurious and impossibly sexy shoes take centre stage in a dazzling array of settings, perfectly set off by Bomans unerring eye and uncanny empathy with Blahnķks creations.
Manolo Blahnik studied at the University of Geneva, before moving to Paris and then London to work as a set designer. In 1971, legendary fashion editor Diana Vreeland famously suggested 'you should do shoes'. Manolo Blahnik Drawings was published by Thames & Hudson in 2003. Eric Boman studied at the Royal College of Art and worked in London and Paris for Vogue, Harpers & Queen, Marie-Claire and Yves Saint-Laurent. In 1978, Roman moved to New York where has photographed for Vogue, Vanity Fair, The World of Interiors and House & Garden. His forthcoming book Dames will also be published by Thames & Hudson this autumn.
