"The aim of the book is to introduce the state-of-the-art technologies in the field of brain and cognitive intelligence used in robotics control, particularly on studying how brain learns and controls complex motor skills and apply such to robots. This will be the first book that systematically and thoroughly deals with above topics. Advances made in the past decades will be well described in this book. Interesting topics such as human-robot interactions, neurorobotics, Biomechanics in robotic control, robot vision, force control, and control and coordination of humanoid robots are covered"--

The aim of the book is to introduce the state-of-the-art technologies in the field of brain and cognitive intelligence used in robotics control, particularly on studying how the brain learns and controls complex motor skills and how to replicate these in robots. This will be the first book that systematically and thoroughly deals with the above topics. Advances made in the past decades are described. Interesting topics such as human-robot interactions, neurorobotics, biomechanics in robotic control, robot vision, force control, and control and coordination of humanoid robots are covered.

This book presents the recent advances and technologies in brain and cognitive intelligence based control in robotics.

Dr. Bin Wei obtained his PhD in robotics from Ontario Tech University in 2016, and did his post-doc research in robotics at York University. He has published 2 books with CRC, in the past few years: Robotics and Mechatronics for Agriculture (2017) and Adaptive Control for Robotic Manipulators (2016). Dr. Weis research interests include robotics, nonlinear dynamics, control theory, collective robot synchronization, human-robot interaction, and Artificial Intelligence.
