Rallings and Thrasher (Local Government Chronicle Elections Centre, Plymouth) preserve the legacy of Fred Craig's reference not only by updating it with recent data, but also making a number of changes in content and form that, among other advantages, make it computer readable to facilitate producing future editions relatively quickly and easily. They have dropped some tables, but added others on regional voting patterns in England since 1955, every parliamentary by-election since 1945, and elections to the new devolved legislatures.
