Having known Tony and Barbara for over 5 years, I found it very moving and emotional to read their story. I only knew Barbara after she lost her ability to speak but she could tell you how she was feeling with her eyes, and she always reached out a hand to hold yours. Her love for Tony (and his for her) was apparent in every moment I spent with them. Tony was her rock; she sought him out wherever she was and beamed the biggest smile when she saw him. This inspirational couple have done so much to raise awareness of dementia in Bristol and beyond Tony by sharing his passion and drive and Barbara by showing the very human side of the disease. Together, they have enabled thousands of people to learn about dementia. This book is the chance to learn more about their story. Sam Rock Cooper, BDAA employee

Recenzijas

In life we all need a bucketful of patience at some time, and Tony has this in spades. His outlook, empathy and approach to dementia should be mirrored by all who work so hard in dealing with this disease. Norrms McNamara, founder of the Purple Angel Dementia Campaign

I found the book really informative and can resonate with the frustration in getting support, especially from the point of view of access to support systems for the carer, as well as the person you are caring for. Angela, a carer
