Powers exist in our society that few people know about. Forces propel criminal activity that would stun and rightly terrorize the average civilian. Lieutenant Kevin Larsen couldnt even begin to convey the humiliation and frustration of being manipulated by such a scheme. He was blinded, though, by the only two things he really valued: love for the last connection to family that existed for himhis brother; and hate toward the entity that had stolen and destroyed everything else that had survived as his life. Kevin depended on a few concepts that have been drastically dispelled. He understands now that the few people who reach our souls are not the ones we can trust; they are the ones most able to destroy us. Second, he knows firsthand that men not only cry, they experience a shattering of the soul if the pain cuts deep enough. From those experiences, only the truest loyalty and friendship can cause them ever to rise again.
