John Moore is a former Director of the Diplomatic Service Language Centre at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, now resident in Thailand. He was the main author of the 1st edition and also co-authored Colloquial Vietnamese.

He has lost contact with his 1st edition co-author, Saowalak Rodchue (whom we have had no success in tracking down), so will be preparing the 2nd edition alone.
