This is an ideal handbook for hobbyists, students and others who are just getting started in metalworking. It is particularly suitable for beginning jewellers who use metal in their work. The book covers subjects ranging from metals, tools and surfaces (such as enamelling, patinas etc.) to shaping, joining, casting, stones and mechanisms. Filled with line drawings, problem solving sections and safety notes, it both explains techniques and shows how to use various equipment. The book is intended both as a text and a tool, a blend of both instruction and reference. It should be a must for those starting out in metalworking and jewellery.

Recenzijas

The Complete Metalsmith by Tim McCreight made a great first impression ... jam packed with information with lovely hand drawn illustrations throughout which make such a nice change ... full of useful and interesting information and tips like making your own chain and hinges and how to photograph your work ... The more I look at this book, the more I like it. * Findings *
