"This book serves a double objective: on the one hand, it provides a guide to the difficulties, considerations and methodological issues involved in the task of creating linguistic corpus, from its conception to its publication on the web. To do this, the logical order of this process is followed, which involves questions of design and recording (chapter 2), transcription and review of conversations (chapter 3), and how and why to segment (chapter 4) ), as well as the problems related to the creation of a web page, a search engine and an administration website (chap. 11), plus the maintenance of said corpus over time, in an ever-changing environment (chap. 12) . On the other, the central chapters of the book apply for the first time in a systematic way the model of discursive units created by the group Val.Es.Co. to a subcorpus of colloquial oral language. This model is explained in Chapter 5, and then questions about how and how much prosodic information the model should include (Chapter 6), the division of the corpus into monological (Chapter 7) and dialogic (Chapter 7) units are addressed. (Chaps. 8 and 9) and, finally, to the linguistic description of spoken Spanish that follows from the segmentation (chap. 10)"--
