This book analyzes the perception of the Foreign Offices of Germany, Great Britain and Soviet Russia/USSR from 1919 until 1933 in Central Asia. In the aftermath of the First World War and the Third Anglo-Afghan War (1919) those three powers vied for influence in Central Asia. Misperceptions, invasion scares and a non-understanding of the region led to a series of problems and conflicts.
