Adam Sliwinski (PhD, MBA, MSc) is a Professor at Warsaw School of Economics/Institute of Risk and Financial Markets (Poland) and he is the Head of Risk and Insurance Department. His main area of research interests are risk management and empirical aspects of finance and insurance. He has business experience gathered cooperating with a number of international insurers and financial companies. He is the author and co-author of many papers and three books on insurance and risk management subject. He was awarded the best Insurance Debut prize in 2008 for his contribution to the development of the Polish mutual insurance market. Persefoni Polychronidou is an Assistant Professor of Applied Econometrics in Accounting and Finance at the Department of Economics at the International Hellenic University, Greece. Her research focuses on statistical and data analysis and she has published numerous papers on empirical economic data.  Anastasios Karasavvoglou is a Professor of Economics at the International Hellenic University, Greece, and President of the annual international conference "The Economies of the Balkan and the Eastern European Countries in the Changing World". He has published numerous books and papers on immigration, regional development and the labour market.
