Amin, director of the Third World Forum in Dakar, Senegal, uses this experience to describe and analyze social value and the price income system. Amin, a "dissenting economist," is well-known as a critic of the theory and experiences of development, and prefers an alternative proposal for the analysis of the global system which he calls "really existing" capitalism.
