for SSAATTBB and organ This edition by Richard Lyne retains the original Latin text and is based on the fair copy that Wesley left to his son, Samuel Sebastian Wesley.

Recenzijas

Richard Lyne has prepared a beautiful new editin of Samuel Wesley's imposing 1810 anthem . . . While £3.10 is nothing to sneeze at, the edition looks well worth the investment; it is printed on nicely weighty stock, in a large format (A4 pages) that allows both a manageable size of type and five or six measure per system, even when the motion is in steady eighths. * Alan Lewis, Journal of the Association of Anglican Musicians, March 2011 *

Son of hymn-writer Charles, and nephew of John, the founder of Methodism, Samuel Wesley was a musical prodigy. He was recognized as the finest organist and extemporizer of his day, and described by William Boyce as 'the English Mozart'. In spite of his family background, he developed a strong connection with the Roman Catholic Church in his teens.
