Ecological specialization of the rodents of the Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania - was studied using ecology-dependent morphological characters. To reveal the ecological meaning of morphological characters the form of hody and cranium was descrihed and compared with ecological data. The results were used for determination of the trends and levels of specialization, reconstruction of adaptive morphogenesis, and description of ecornorphological diversity.
