Erin West is a dedicated educator, author, and advocate currently working at her alma mater, Appalachian State University, where she earned her doctorate in educational leadership in 2022. Her diverse professional experience includes roles such as an Elementary Principal, Mentor and Tutor Coordinator, and Testing Coordinator. Dr. West has also served as an Assistant Principal in both middle and high school settings, an instructor at Michigan State University, and a Kindergarten and First Grade Teacher. Throughout her career, she has actively contributed to educational equity and literacy, publishing several book chapters and peer-reviewed articles. Dr. West is passionate about fostering supportive educational environments and presents regularly at national and international conferences, advocating for innovative practices that enhance student learning and community engagement.
