Leslie Brokaw has co-authored over a dozen Frommer's guides since 2006, including Frommer's Montreal Day by Day and Frommer's EasyGuide to Montreal and Quebec City. She is a contributing editor for digital media for MIT Sloan Management Review and teaches at Emerson College,located in Boston. Leslie collaborates on her Quebec writing with her husband Matthew Barber and her writing partner Erin Trahan. Leslie and Matt are parents to a toddler who enjoyed his first croissant at Olive + Gourmando in Vieux-Montreal and his first bagel at Fairmount Bagel in Plateau Mont-Royal. They are also all big fans of the handmade poupees, or dolls, from the Montreal boutique Raplapla.She resides in the Boston metropolitan area. Matthew Barber writes about food trends and cooking for the Boston Globe. He lives with his wife, Leslie Brokaw, and their son and dog in Boston, MA. Erin Trahan is a writer and editor specializing in film and travel. She has contributed to WBUR Boston, The Boston Globe, MovieMaker Magazine, New Hampshire Public Radio, Women's Review of Books, Girl Scout Leader Magazine, NewEnglandFilm website and elsewhere and has co-authored six Frommer's Guides to Montreal and Quebec City. As the editor of The Independent, an online magazine about film, and its related books on film making, she often serves on film festival panels and juries. She has a particular fondness for facilitating post-film dialogue and has created adult education courses that travel to film festivals, including to Montreal. She teaches at Emerson College and lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts with her husband and daughter.
