Dr Suraja Kumar Nayak obtained Ph.D. from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology in 2013 and is presently working as Lecturer, Department of Biotechnology, College of Engineering and Technology, Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Dr. Nayak has 07 years of teaching and research experience in field of Microbiology and Biotechnology. His areas of teaching and research include general and environmental microbiology, soil microbiology, industrial and food biotechnology, microbial biotechnology. Dr. Nayak has published 14 scientific papers including book chapters in various journals and national and international books. Currently 2 more edited books are in press from Wiley and NIPA publishers. He has also submitted 05 accession no. to NCBI, USA and have presented papers in various national and international seminars. Three numbers of M.Tech and more than 10 B.Tech students have successfully completed their dissertation under his guidance. Dr Bibhuti Bhusan Mishra is presently working as the ICAR-Emeritus Professor, P.G. Department of Microbiology, College of Basic Science & Humanities, Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India after his superannuation from the University in May, 2018. He obtained M. Phil. and Ph.D. Degree in 1983 and 1987 respectively from Berhampur University, Odisha. He has more than 37 years of teaching and research experience. A total of 11 students have been awarded doctoral degree under his supervision from various Universities across India and currently four more are actively working in the field of environmental and soil microbiology. In addition, he has guided more than 25 P.G. students. He has 59 research publications and more than 20 book chapters & research manuscript in various journals of national and international repute. He is credited with 25 accession numbers submitted to NCBI, USA. Also he has contributed research article as book chapter to the encyclopedia Environmental Engineering published by Gulf Publishing, USA and book chapters in many more edited books pertaining to soil and environmental microbiology. He has edited 9 books in microbiology and biotechnology published by national and international publishers and 1 book on Botany practical. Currently 2 more edited books are in press from Wiley and NIPA publishers. Moreover he has also successfully completed 1 UGC Major project from Govt. Of India and was the Chief Nodal Officer of project Biofertilizer Production Unit under RKVY (Rastriya Krishi Vikash Yojana), Govt. of Odisha amounting to 150 Lakh INR. He is awarded as Best teacher award from the University in 2012 and from the college in 2015. For significant contributions in microbiology, he was conferred with Prof. Harihar Pattnaik memorial award by the Orissa Botanical Society in 2016. In addition he got best teacher award from Orissa Botanical Society in 2018.
