This textbook examines key railway engineering topics useful for railway design and control. Marco Guerrieri is associate professor of Highway and Railway Engineering at DICAM, University of Trento, Italy, and he is qualified to full professorship. He serves as a member of the editorial board of several international scientific journals. His research interests include microscopic traffic simulation, highway design and control, alternative Intersection design and railway design.
