The book describes GI cancer from the viewpoint of the gastroenterologist and the oncologist. Each section is outlined for diagnosis and management, endoscopic management, palliation, and the oncologist's perspective. Thirty-six chapters are divided into nine parts: introduction, esophagus, stomach, small bowel, pancreatic, gall bladder, hepatic tumors, colorectal and anal, and GI endoscopic management of tumors not of GI origin. Each chapter begins with a box titled "Key points", and has references at the end. The book is an invaluable tool for those who diagnose and manage GI cancer patients. There is a list of contributors, a multitude of figures and tables. It is multi-media, with a companion website, which includes 21 videos of procedures described in the book.
