Gravel enthusiast and experienced route creator Katherine Moore has taken her love of the South West and extensive local knowledge to put these routes together each one is a delight and shows off the highlights of this diverse region of England. Ride mining trails and coastal gravel in Cornwall, remote trails on Dartmoor, a tour of Exmoor tea rooms in North Devon and Somerset, flint and chalk tracks on the Old Chalk Way in Dorset, fast-rolling gravel roads on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, and trails past the remains of old tramways and collieries in the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. Katherine Moore is a renowned UK gravel cycling expert who has written extensively for cycling media including BikeRadar, Cyclist magazine, Bikepacking.com, Cycling Weekly, Cycling Plus, Cycling UK, and The Radavist, and was formerly a presenter at Global Cycling Network. South West born and bred, her extensive knowledge of the best gravel-friendly hotspots in the region is showcased in the routes she has created for Komoot and Cycling UK. Katherine was recognised as one of Cycling UKs 100 Women in Cycling in 2020 and created the East Devon Trail bikepacking route. She was Lonely Planets lead writer for Best Bike Rides Great Britain which was published in 2023. Gravel Rides South West England is Katherines first solo-authored book.
