This volume critically engages with how the idea of the human features in African societies and scholarship. Afis A. Oladosu is a professor in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies, University of Ibadan. His scholarly expertise straddles cultural criticism, Islamic orthopraxis, Arab-Muslim modernities, and Christian-Muslim relations. Oladosu has won many international fellowships and scholarships, including the Fulbright Scholarship.Ayobami Ojebode is Professor of Applied Communication in the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His research interests include community communication, governance, new media, and political communication. Two of his publications, Doing Community Radio (2009) and Audience Research for Campus Radio Stations (co-authored, 2010), have been adopted as training manuals in radio stations within and outside Nigeria.Adeshina Afolayan teaches philosophy at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His areas of specialisation include philosophy of politics, African cultural studies, and African philosophy. He is the author of Philosophy and National Development in Nigeria (2018), and a co-editor of the Palgrave Handbook of African Philosophy (2017).
