Jerseys landscape and history are steeped in its folklore and legends. In Illustrated Tales of Jersey, local author Paul Darroch explores a multitude of mysterious myths and strange tales from centuries past. The book reveals the legends of the dragon that tormented Jersey, the long-lost bridge across the sea to Normandy, the giant storm hound preying on Bouley Bay, the martyrdom of Jerseys patron Saint Helier, the manor swept away by the waves that became Jerseys very own Atlantis, and many more.

These strange and remarkable stories are accompanied by the authors photographs of places featured in the text in this hugely entertaining book.
Paul Darroch is the author of three history books, including Illustrated Tales of Jersey published by Amberley. Paul is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers. He has a First Class degree from St Hughs College, Oxford (where he was a Centenary Scholar) and has an extensive social media presence. He is on the editorial panel of his livery companys magazine and runs a podcast, The History Islands.
