Rudyard Kipling (18651936) was born in Bombay (now Mumbai), India. The Jungle Book, which he published in 1894, became a childrens classic all over the world. Tales of every kind continued to flow from Kiplings pen, including Kim (1901) and Just So Stories (1902).
