For 29 years John Richards was the Pastor of an Elim Pentecostal Church in the village of Lane End in Buckinghamshire, England. In "Just coincidences?" he relates 29 stories of remarkable events in his ministry that are difficult to explain unless a living God was at work.


The stories range from a demonically violent alcoholic who was instantly delivered from his addiction when the demon was cast out, to a car crash which led to ten people joining the church; and from the purchase of land for a new church building at only a quarter of the price that the local council had demanded, to the full and permanent recovery of a small boy who had cancer in his one remaining kidney and was nothing but skin and bones, following 'the noisiest prayer meeting I had ever attended'.


This inspiring book illustrates three clear principles for developing an effective and Christ-glorifying ministry: absolute faith in God's promises and instructions; an openness and willingness to be led by the Holy Spirit; and a love for people, expressed in particular by taking every opportunity possible to share the gospel with them.
