Surprisingly little is known empirically about the use of literature in language education. This second edition of Literature in Language Education is a welcome update to the previous version with some good additions to the original publication. it is an important contribution to the field and remains faithful to the principles devised by the series editors . the book will stimulate further research and informed pedagogic innovation in the field and motivate teachers to conduct a theoretically informed reflection on the roles of literature in language education.
