He has discovered a variety of new species and written widely for journals and periodicals, and authored the bestseller Shells: Jewels from the Sea in 1989.Fabio Moretzsohn is Visiting Assistant Professor of Invertebrate Zoology and Biology, Department of Life Sciences, Texas A&M UniversityCorpus Christi. He is one of the authors of the Encyclopedia of Texas Seashells.
