Recenzijas

A consistent voice of wisdom and support for the Pagan path, Marla Brooks has offered us another gift. Magick for All Seasons is a new take on classic concepts and will be invaluable to witches now and in the future. Courtney Weber, author of Hekate: Goddess of Witches

There have been several Wheel of the Year guidebooks in the last several years, each one different from the last, each one bringing us into a deeper connection to the world around and within us. Marla Brookss Magick for All Seasons allows us to glimpse a world both glorious and simpleone that takes us by the hand and walks with the reader through the beauty of these natural and ancient celebrations. I especially loved the dedication to her great-grandma Sophie. A terrific addition to your personal library. H. Byron Ballard, author of Seasons of a Magical Life and A Feral Church

Marla Brooks has crafted a down-to-earth collection of witch wisdom; she blends history, practical spellwork, and personal anecdotes, all hung skillfully upon the Wheel of the Year. The inclusion of Great-Grandma Sophies witchy tips adds a charming touch, making the reader feel as though they are receiving teachings from a trusted elder. This is the kind of book I devoured growing up. It is sure to add spice to anyones practice. Jason Miller, author of Consorting with Spirits and other works Magick for All Seasons is a personal, pragmatic guide to filling your year with magic. A sweet ode to the authors great grandmother, Magick for All Seasons offers a trove of spells and recipes for those who are curious about celebrating Pagan seasonal holidays. Marla Brooks has created a delightfully homey grimoire filled to the brim with a readymade collection of ideas to make each season a little more magical. Christine Grace, author of The Witch at the Forests Edge

Marla Brooks is the creator of The Witchs Oracle deck and has been the host of Stirring the Cauldron on the Para X Radio Network for the past fourteen years. She grew up knowing that there was more to this world than the naked eye could see and found the notion of ghosts and other things that go bump in the night rather fascinating. Of course, you might expect that from a witch. Marla didnt just decide one day that she wanted to be a witch. Its just part of who she is. Her great-grandmother Sophie was a witch, and these things often get passed down in the bloodline from generation to generation.   Before publicly coming out of the broom closet, she worked as a freelance entertainment writer for various national publications, mainly doing celebrity interviews, and is the author of several books in both the metaphysical and mainstream genres, including the Ghosts of Hollywood series, Workplace Spells, and Animal Spells and Magick; two fiction books, A Bad Case of the Collywobbles and Soul Connection: A Deadly Obsession; as well as two cookbooks. She lives in Southern California.
