This tutorial encourages resource-based learning of French by teaching the skills necessary to exploit fully the powerful opportunities provided by electronically-stored textual databases. Skills such as skim reading, text-processing techniques and information retrieval are covered. Sample texts from Le Monde on CD-ROM are provided.
