Dr. Sandeep Rathee is currently serving the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology Srinagar, India, as an assistant professor. His previous assignment was as a post-doctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). He received the prestigious National Post-Doctoral Fellowship by SERB (Govt. of India). He was awarded a Ph.D degree from Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. His field of research mainly includes additive manufacturing, friction stir welding/processing, advanced materials, composites, advanced manufacturing processes and characterization. He has authored/ co-authored over 100 publications in various international journals of repute and refereed international conferences. He has authored/ edited six books in the field of advanced manufacturing.



He is associated with several reputed journals in the capacity of editorial board member/ reviewer. He has completed/ is handling externally funded projects of more than 07 Million INR in the field of additive manufacturing/deformation-based processes/ coating. He has supervised/ is supervising 4 Ph.D. scholars, 10 M.Tech and 30 B.Tech students. His works have been cited more than 2500 times (as per Google Scholar). He has more than fifteen years of teaching and research experience. He has delivered invited lectures and chaired scientific sessions in national and international conferences, STTPs, and QIP programs. He is a life member of the Additive Manufacturing Society of India (AMSI) and Vignana Bharti (VIBHA).



Dr. Manu Srivastava is presently serving as Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing in Jabalpur, India. She has completed her Ph.D. in the field of additive manufacturing from Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi. Her field of research is additive manufacturing, friction-based AM, friction stir processing, advanced materials, manufacturing practices and optimization techniques. She has 150+ publications on various reputed technical platforms. She has 30+ patents to her credit.  She has authored eight books on Additive manufacturing: fundamentals and advancements; friction based solid state additive manufacturing techniques, Functionally Graded Materials: Fabrication, Properties, Applications, and Advancements, Friction stir welding and processing: fundamentals to advancements, and Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing: Fundamental Sciences and Advances with CRC press, Taylor & Francis group, Wiley, and so on. She has a total teaching and research experience of around 18 years in teaching. She has won several proficiency awards during the course of her career, including merit awards, best teacher awards, etc. She has organized and delivered invited lectures, chaired scientific sessions in several national and international conferences, STTPs, FDPs and QIP programs. She is a life member of Additive Manufacturing Society of India (AMSI), Vignana Bharti (VIBHA), The Institution of Engineers (IEI India), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), Indian society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ISTAM) and Indian Institute of Forging (IIF). She was listed in the Worlds Top 2% Scientists list in 2024 released by Standford University and published by Elsevier. She is an associate editor in reputed journals such as Progress in Additive Manufacturing, Springer Nature and International Journal of Experimental Design & Process Optimization, Inderscience Publishers, etc. Shd was the recipient of prestigious Erasmus Faculty mobility program in year 2025 and so on.



Dr. J. Paulo Davim is a Full Professor at the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is also distinguished as honorary professor in several universities/colleges/institutes in China, India and Spain. He received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Mechanical Engineering (materials and manufacturing processes) and Mechanical Engineering degree (5 years), from the University of Porto (FEUP), the Aggregate title (Full Habilitation) from the University of Coimbra and the DSc (Higher Doctorate) from London Metropolitan University. He is Fellow (FIET) of IET-London, Fellow (FIMF) of IMF-Birmingham and Eur Ing by Engineers Europe FEANI-Brussels. He is also Senior Specialist Engineer by the Portuguese Order of Engineers with an MBA and Specialist titles in Industrial Management as well as in Metrology.  He has more than 35 years of teaching and research experience in manufacturing, materials, mechanical and industrial engineering, with special emphasis in machining, tribology & surface engineering. He has also interest in design, management, sustainability, Industry 5.0, engineering education and higher education for sustainability. He has guided large numbers of postdoc, PhD and masters students as well as has coordinated and participated in several financed research projects. He has received several scientific awards and honors. He has worked as evaluator of projects for ERC-European Research Council and other international research agencies as well as examiner of PhD thesis for many universities in different countries. He is the Editor in Chief of several international journals, book series editor and scientific advisory for many conferences.
