This book presents overviews on the specific methods for the study of verbal politeness, which is deeply and constantly involved in our social life. Elena Landone is Associate Professor of Spanish Linguistics at the Universitą degli Studi of Milan (ItalyEU). Her research focuses on issues in intercultural pragmalinguistics, with a special interest in politeness and discourse markers and their importance in foreign language learning/teaching.
