Rui Xiao is a professor at the Department of Engineering Mechanics at Zhejiang University. He received the B.S from University of Science and Technology of China in 2009 and the Ph.D from Johns Hopkins University in 2015. Before joining Zhejiang University, he is an associate professor at Hohai University where he worked from 2015 to 2019. His main research interest is the constitutive relationship of polymers, smart materials and structures, and the mechanics of soft materials. Professor Xiao has authored over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
