Dr. Xueming Chen is a professor in the College of Environment and Safety Engineering, Fuzhou University, China. He received his PhD in environmental engineering from the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2017. He worked as a Marie Curie fellow and postdoc at the Process and Systems Engineering Centre, Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark, Denmark, from 2017 to 2020. In the meanwhile, he has served as an associate editor for Frontiers in Microbiology and Cleaner Water. He is also an editorial board member for Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Environmental Management, Environmental Technology & Innovation, and Journal of Water Process Engineering. He used to be an associate young water professionals (YWP) member of the International Water Association (IWA) Modelling & Integrated Assessment (MIA) Specialist Group Management Committee and is currently a committee member of the Water Treatment and Reuse, Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences. He received the prestigious JSPS Invitational Fellowship from Japan Society for the Promotion of Science and was one of the 20 global recipients of the RINENG Young Investigator Award of Elsevier.
