and illustrated more than thirty books, most of them on travel, wildlife, and gardening. Titles include It Happened in New Hampshire, Galapagos, Safari, Drive Around Portugal, Big Cats, Giant Pandas, Exploring Europe by Boat, Drive Around Italys Lakes andMountains, Travellers Milan and Italian Lakes, Adventure Guide to CanadasAtlantic Provinces, Adventure Guide to New Brunswick and Prince EdwardIsland, Adventure Guide to the Chesapeake Bay, Eating New England, SecretProvidence and Newport, and The Rhode Island Guide. They have written and illustrated several books in the Children of the World series and written several others in the Enchantment of the World and Cities of the World series, describing the lives and cultures of children from Argentina to Zambia. Barbara has written articles for Yankee magazine, Country Journal, the Boston Herald, the Los Angeles Times, and others, including a monthly column for New HampshireMagazine. Amanda Silva is the owner and Creative Director of WayPoint Writing, a marketing and content creation company in Manchester, New Hampshire. She also teaches writing to college students and corporate professionals as an adjunct professor at Nashua Community College. She enjoys traveling and writing about her adventures. Her work has been published in literary journals and magazines, including Ploughshares and Chicago's luxury lifestyle magazine, Northshore. She lives in Manchester, NH.
