Norhaven is a solitary coastal town. It stands alone, a north east knuckle that shakes its fist, defying the icy salt spray and dares to cling to Scotlands forgotten shoulder;

A port, beacon, refuge.

Isolated. Independent. Intriguing.

A pulse at the tip of the compass.

Norhaven is the setting for the books entire album of stories, stories of friendship, rivalry, hope and every day magic, tales that have come in with the Haar.

The short stories include the Scottish surfing novella, Sans Peur, a saltwater fairy tale. You have to have a point to surf, especially in Scotland. Surfing is about balance. Sans Peur is about finding it.

Alan and Suds are surf-crazy Scottish fishermen. The brothers are struggling to keep their boat afloat. Their boat, Sans Peur, is a fishing vessel, a passion, a state of mind.

The chance for them to compete in a surfing competition in Ireland could change their lives forever

Will they take the chance?

Will they live up to their moniker?
Mark Jackson is a writer and an award-winning short film maker. The screenplay of his first book, The Revenge of Colonel Blood was an official selection at the Burbank International Film Festival in California. He also wrote, Seaside, a short film which received a BAFTA Scotland SSOS nomination.
