Rahman Ashena has over a decade of experience in industrial field work as a senior well completion/workover and drilling supervisor engineer. He is an expert in data analytics/ML techniques and well engineering with TTT degree and IWCF Level IV certificates. Ashena is the director of Smart Energy and Data Analytics (SEDA) Group operating in Houston and Kuala Lumpur, specialized in providing consultancy and engineering services for oil and gas, renewable energy including geothermal, and data analytics sectors with current projects in SE Asia and the Middle East. Ashena is a grid energy planning engineer contractor at the Oklahoma State Energy Office. He completed his PhD, Masters, and bachelors degrees in Petroleum Well Engineering respectively at Montanuniversität Leoben, Austria; Curtin University, Australia; and Petroleum University of Technology, Iran. Ashena is a Chartered Engineer recognized by IMechE and a Professional Engineer by the board of Engineers Australia (EA).
