This is the hit graphic novel - now in paperback! Based on a true story, acclaimed writer Brian K. Vaughan ("Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Lost") and up and coming artist Niko Henrichon ("The Sandman Presents") present a tale of love, war...and pride. In war-torn Iraq, many casualties have gone unreported - among them, an escaped pride of lions. This struggling family of four great cats must find a way to stay together and avoid the deadly conflict that's exploding around them in a world they can never hope to comprehend. This thoughtful, beautifully illustrated original graphic novel will engage both your head and heart - leaving you to look at the war on terror through new eyes.

Recenzijas

"Brian K. Vaughan's PRIDE OF BAGHDAD is easily amongst the finest pieces of comic book literature I have ever read and is also the best comic I have read, and probably will read, all year. Maybe even this decade." Ain't It Cool News "What I would contend, is the best novel, so far, on this most painful and tricky of subjects" The Sunday Telegraph * "The next big thing." - Ain't It Cool News (on Y: The Last Man) * "A seriously funny, nuanced fable... 'A'" - Entertainment Weekly (on Y...) * "Handled with a wit and sophistication that leaves most comics standing" - Time Out (on Y...)"

Brian K. Vaughan's current work includes the Buffy comic, Ex Machina and the smash hit Y: The Last Man. He has won several Eisner and Harvey awards. Niko Henrichon is a relative newcomer to comics, but made waves with his art for The Sandman Presents, and is currently working on a new graphic novel for Humanoids.
