The complexity of parenting in this global age seems to increase exponentially with every passing moment. One source of the longstanding communication struggles between educators and parents has been the inability of either side to understand the other. In this important work, Pedersen illuminates the antecedents and consequences associated with several different archetypical Millennial parents and in doing so helps bridge the distance to understanding between educators and parents. As a result of this work, one might envision a not too distant future where educators and parents 'get' where one another are coming from in a much more significant and genuine way and function as a powerful team in supporting children toward bright futures. -- Jason E.
