This work encourages and supports the developments of 'active readers' - children who can use their developing reading strategies to gain meaning from the text. Books challenge children by providing a variety of form, layout, content and language features. Each "Spotty Zebra" title has been developed around a specific Early Learning Goal Supported by two Resource Packs that contain material to support reading, writing, speaking and listening in literacy time and beyond!
