Behavioral threat assessment and management as a practice is widespread in K12 schools to respond to concerning and potentially violent student behaviors. In this report, the authors build on existing research to guide the management phase of the behavioral threat assessment and management process, responding to the shortfall in resources and tools for this critical part of efforts to prevent targeted violence and keep school communities safe.
