Finding gaps in the critical information literacy literature, librarians McMartin and Dineen combine their knowledge of assessment with their desire to engage in critical pedagogy. Since 2016 they have been changing their practice with a focus on democratic classroom spaces and moving toward a critical-inclusive pedagogy. Here they describe their praxis, covering foundations of their pedagogical practice, assessment of teaching and learning, the assessment of teaching, the assessment of student learning, and toward a (more) critical-inclusive assessment practice.
