Giving voice to many internationally established and leading Catholic education scholars, chapters review and critically appraise the contribution of Sullivans work in key areas such as his call for a coherent philosophy of Catholic education; a broader, more inclusive Catholic culture; robust teacher formation; and a coherent understanding of Catholic higher education. The book also discusses the interplay between the pastoral and the prophetic two complementary aspects that underpin much of Sullivans work.
